Thank you for booking with Birth Beyond with Melanie. These Booking Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure a positive experience for everyone attending our hypnobirthing courses and pregnancy relaxation classes.
1. Booking and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to confirm your place on your chosen course.
The balance of the course fee must be paid in full at or before the first session of the course. Course fees are non refundable except under exceptional circumstances.
Payment is made for a full course as advertised and not for individual sessions.
Flexible payment terms must be agreed in advance.
Your booking is confirmed once payment (or any agreed deposit) has been received.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe via Ticket Tailor unless otherwise agreed.
2. Cancellations by You
In the event of cancellation by a participant prior to the start of the course, the deposit is non-refundable.
In the event of cancellation by a participant after one or more sessions of the course have been completed, no refund will be given.
If for any reason in person course cannot take place for example extreme weather or government guidelines, the event will either be rescheduled or the course will take place over live video link. If you are unable to attend your booked class or course, please let us know as soon as possible.
Cancellations made 14 days or more before the event may receive a full refund or be transferred to another available date.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are generally non-refundable, as your space has been reserved specifically for you.
If exceptional circumstances arise, please get in touch and we will always try to find a fair solution.
Rescheduling Sessions
For participants taking a private one to one course, 48 hours notice must be given in changing appointment dates or times. Where this is not done the participants will be liable for the session fee calculated as the total fee, after deduction of the £50 deposit, divided by the number of sessions in the course. Exceptions may be made in exceptional circumstances.
3. If Your Baby Arrives Early
We understand that babies don’t always follow the plan!
If your baby arrives before your booked course or class, or your healthcare team advises you not to attend, please contact us. Wherever possible, we will offer an alternative such as:
transferring your booking to another suitable session (where appropriate),
providing suitable course materials, or
discussing another reasonable option based on your circumstances.
4. Changes or Cancellation by Birth Beyond with Melanie
In the unlikely event of cancellation of a course by myself, attempts will be made to reschedule. If this is not possible, or alternative dates cannot be agreed, a full refund of the total fee will be given.
In the unlikely event of cancellation of an individual session by me, attempts will be made to reschedule. If this is not possible, or if alternative dates cannot be agreed, a refund for sessions not yet taken will be given. If it is not possible for all couples within a group to agree an alternative date then provision will be made for individual couples. The refunded fee per session will be calculated as the total fee, after deduction of the £50 deposit, divided by the number of sessions in the course. No refund will be made for sessions already taken.
On rare occasions, it may be necessary to postpone or cancel a class due to illness, venue issues or circumstances beyond our control.
If this happens, you will be offered either:
a transfer to another date, or
a full refund if an alternative date is not suitable.
Birth Beyond with Melanie is not responsible for any additional costs you may have incurred, such as travel or childcare arrangements.
5. Attendance
Please arrive a few minutes before the scheduled start time to help sessions begin promptly.
Partners or birth partners are welcome where this is included in your booking.
6. Health and Wellbeing
Our classes are educational and are intended to complement the care you receive from your midwife, doctor or other healthcare professionals.
The information provided during classes should not be considered medical advice and should never replace advice from your healthcare team.
If you have any medical concerns regarding your pregnancy, please seek advice from your healthcare provider.
Birth Beyond with Melanie cannot be held responsible for any decisions that you make regarding your pregnancy and birth.
Any questions or doubts you have about you the use of Hypnobirthing should be taken up with your health care professionals.
Taking a Hypnobirthing course in no way guarantees a certain birth outcome.
The resources given to you in Birth Beyond with Melanie courses are for your own personal use and should not be distributed to third parties. Again, these do not represent medical advice.
7. Photography and Social Media
From time to time, photographs may be taken during classes for marketing purposes.
No photographs or videos of you will be taken or shared without your explicit permission.
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials, handouts, recordings and resources remain the intellectual property of Birth Beyond with Melanie.
They are provided for your personal use only and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or shared without written permission.
9. Liability
Whilst every effort is made to provide accurate and evidence-informed education, Birth Beyond with Melanie accepts no responsibility for decisions made based solely on the information provided during classes.
Nothing within our courses replaces individual medical advice from your healthcare professionals.
10. Privacy
Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
